Summer prayer from Eric Walker

Heavenly Father we are here today to come before you to thank you for this summer season.  A time when we are able to relax and enjoy the beauty of the world you have provided for us. 

 

As we holiday at home and abroad, as we take in new places and meet new people then may our Christian faith be such that others may know we are in your care. 

 

Help us Lord in our daily devotions to be honest with ourselves and with those closest to us, help us take time to be with family and friends and renew our joy as we meet and share time together. 

 

Loving God, we welcome each day as your gift, and help us use it in your service as all we have comes from you.  You are at work in our lives and in our world, help us to faithfully acknowledge your greatness in our times of worship, as we rejoice in your goodness and as we marvel at your holiness. 

 

Gracious God with your help through the grace of Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, may we be enabled to live more faithfully as your servants, through Jesus Christ our Lord.  Amen.
