Centenary Celebrations at Nether Lochaber

 

On the week beginning Monday 8 August as part of our centenary celebrations the church and hall will be open every afternoon from 2-4pm. Monday to Friday 8-12 August

 

There will be an exhibition of church life past and present, including notes on church history, floral displays, refreshments, and a brief act of worship each day at 4pm.

 

We hope that people from all around and beyond will drop in.

Last Sunday two new Elders were Ordained in Ardnamurchan Parish Church. The new Elders are Valerie Phillipps and Moira Fisher flanked by the Interim Moderator the Rev Alan Lamb and Bridget Cameron, Jim Angus and Eilidh Canning.

Duror Sunday School Sponsored Walk

 

On Saturday 4th June The Duror Sunday school  and some friends gathered at St John’s church to begin our Sponsored walk. We had planned to walk over the hill to Duror but it had been so wet we felt it was easier to walk the cycle track instead. There were 8 children , 6 adults and a dog!

Ken and June Chandler had offered their house as a pit stop which was greatly appreciated and when we reached Duror Kirk Annette has prepared a lovely tea for us. The event raised  £628.00. This will be divided between Yorkhill Hospital and The Girls Hostel in Sialkot in Pakistan.
